This is an Illuminate-only mission that spawns an Illuminate Overship. The game provides a defense cannon hidden in a children's playground to destroy the Overship. It can only be activated after retrieving 2 access codes hidden in 2 separate bunker complexes.
The Overship is protected by a shield that can be destroyed in 2 shots with the cannon. Once the shield is down, it takes 4 more shots to take down the Overship. Although it spawns out of bounds of the map, it is possible to hit it with something other than the cannon and thus one shot it — even in a solo run.
Nota Bene: the cannon alignment tips imply that the run is scouted.
The trick is to use the cannon but only to destroy the Overship, not its shield. You should therefore use other means to do so without slowing down the run. So far, 3 stratagems have been identified, the best being the Expendable Napalm.
Viable in multiplayer but not viable in solo.
| Name | Level | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Patriot Exosuit | 25 |
In this run, Canis uses the Patriot Exosuit to take down the shield with about 300 rounds from its minigun.
Viable in multiplayer and solo.
| Name | Level | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Heavy Machine Gun | 12 |
In this run, Jaesa uses the Heavy Machine Gun to take down the shield.
Approximately 1 full magazine is required, in addition to 1 cannon shot. For a 100% run, it can be the one from the Fast Recon Vehicle.
This support weapon can take down the shield in a single shot. It's therefore the best strategem to use in a solo run.

The quickest way to destroy the Overship is to align the cannon so that it fires into one of its round openings, such as those circled in the image.
Any one works (although the middle one is more lenient than the side ones) and it's a one-shot.
This requires extremely precise alignment of the cannon, which is seed dependent. It must always be raised vertically, and in most seeds, it must also be rotated horizontally.
In both cases, the compass is an excellent way to find your bearings.
Once the cannon is properly aligned during your scouting planning, proceed as if you were going to rotate the horizontal valve and turn your camera until your compass and the upper part of the cannon are parallel. Keep the degree number (here 318) in mind and during your attempts, rotate your camera while pivoting the cannon until the compass box showing that degree number is aligned parallel with the cannon.
3 hints may help to vertically align the cannon:
It is much easier to control the height of the cannon with this trapezoidal shape. In my run, it had to be roughly in the middle, with a little more "air" in the upper part of the trapezoid.
Canis, Monke, Rose and Noumena for the Patriot Exosuit technique to break the Overship's shield and the one-shot strat.
LilGMan for the Expendable Napalm technique.
