¶ Overview
This outpost, on rare occasions, can spawn a factory strider
¶ Identifying Features
Visually: 1 cannon turret and 4 fabricators arranged in a straight line.
On the map: Almost no identifiable features. That fact alone is a clue that the outpost you’re looking at is the 4-line.
If you’re lucky and part of the base is surrounded by water, it might reveal more details that the outpost is a 4-line.
Water reveals part of the walkways leading into the base. So, on the map, if you see a small strip of land leading outward from the base and into a large red dot, then that’s an indicator you’re looking at a 4-line outpost.
¶ Outpost Layout
The best way to kill this outpost is with an Orbital Laser. Against common sense, its actually difficult to kill the fabs in the middle from afar with an Autocannon. A dead-on shot won't kill the fab unless you're within ~30 meters.
By far the safest way to approach this base is from behind (especially if there is a factory strider).
The front of the base is littered with too many machine gun positions to note. Only the ones facing behind the bare are annotated.
¶ Outpost Clears
Commando, Quasar Cannon, Expendable Anti-Tank and Recoilless Rifle can all snipe this outpost from across the map fairly easily, similar to all Automaton outposts (other than Fortresses).
¶ Clark's Clear
Uses an Orbital Laser thrown on F1. It's quick, easy and safe. For best results make sure the Orbital Laser starts dead-on F1 for quick kill. It will skip T1 to kill all other fabricators in sequence.
However if there is a factory strider, the Laser will get distracted and move toward the strider. As a result, it won't destroy all the fabricators.
¶ Prosecco's Clear
Uses an Eagle Airstrike and an Orbital Precision Strike. This method allows you to clear this outpost without using an Orbital Barrage* or an Orbital Laser. It requires a good stratagem throw and experience.
It involves running behind a rock face on the right back-hand side of the outpost (they always have this rock face) and using it as a guide to throw your Eagle stratagem.
If done correctly, the strike can take out 3 fabricators in only one go, the last fabricator is destroyed with an Orbital Precision Strike.
This method requires practice and knowledge of what angle to throw the stratagem. Sometimes the Eagle will fly in from the right-side that can cause only 2 of the 3 fabricators to be destroyed.
