You need to destroy almost all the eggs at each location, except for about 1-3 extra. The hatcherie tilesets with less eggs aren't necessarily more speedrun viable, it's more about how spread out the eggs are.
The eggs are usually positioned vertically along a rockface, so the best known stratagems to destroy them are the 500kg, airburst rocket launcher, gas strike, and napalm barrage. For loadout, gas grenades and the autocannon work best.
There are static guard posts consisting of a few scavengers around most of these variants, similar to other main objectives.
Code names subject to change.
There are 8 variants in total.
Speedrun viable?: Yes
One of the larger variants with more bug holes. Thankfully the eggs are clustered together in one chamber so the 500kg can destroy almost all of them with a single use. There are probably too many eggs for the airburst RL to handle efficiently though.
Named because there are several large piles of SEAF trooper corpses in and around the base, presumably to be used as nutrition for the hatchlings.
Speedrun Viable?: Yes
Tiny and comically easy variant. There are very few eggs and they are clustered close together behind a super earth fence with some scattered walls. Can probably be sniped with the Airburst RL or destroyed with a single 500kg.
Speedrun viable?: Yes
Pretty much just some terminid rock walls surrounding a lone pillar in the middle. There are few eggs and they are clustered close together on one side of the pillar. Tends to render as water in the map because it is on low elevation. Can probably be sniped with just one well placed Airburst RL shot, and definitely one 500kg.
Speedrun viable?: Yes
A U-shaped formation of eggs behind some infested super earth buildings. Easy to recognize on the map because of the rectangular shape of the buildings. Very vulnerable sight lines to the eggs from the side with the super earth buildings, although probably a little too spread out get all the eggs with just one airburst RL shot.
Speedrun viable?: No
There aren't many eggs, but they are very well guarded and spread out in a winding path between two walls. There are only two narrow entrances to this variant on either end. There are also two bugs holes in the outer perimeter that guard against approach.
Speedrun viable?: Yes
There is an approach guarded by two outward facing bugholes that leads to a one way drop at the other end. Not too many eggs and they are all clustered together around the middle, could probably be destroyed by throwing a 500kg or shooting an Airburst RL from the side with the ridge up into the hatchery.
Speedrun viable?: No
The more well guarded 60 egg variant, and the one I remember having the most trouble with playing casually. There are two main egg chambers separated by a high wall in the middle. There are 5 bug holes guarding this variant, the most of all hatcheries.
Speedrun viable?: Yes
One of the easier variants. The eggs are a bit spread out but the hatchery is poorly guarded with only one bug hole and a section with no walls and clear sightlines to the eggs. The wall with the hive lord fossil is also climbable, allowing for a quick entrance or escape.
